it is the last day for some of us....and i am thanking lucky stars as it has been a day and it is only 1245!!! there isn't enough wine that could take this edge off :)
but i am staying up to midnight to try!!!!
mare is here and she said i need wine!!! i am going to be very faithful until midnight and then i am drinking! i don't care if i ever eat again but i want a glass of yummy expensive grape....just one sip would do me right now....i sound like i need aa and i don't even care!!! lol
sorry for not blogging yesterday...was up at 445am to make my 7am flight and with the delay and driving home and showing mare the house and visiting with jule and pen time just slipped away from me....
i hope you are all fabulous...back home safe and sound and being green beans!!!!
mare came back with me, cath, if you want to sneak up for a quick visit...my brothers arrive friday to help with house!!! we are running behind...so get your boodie up here if you can!

sunny sunday....
hard to be anything but happy waking up to clear sunny skies, a chill in the air and a view of the mountains in the soft pink glow of a desert sunrise! all good here in sunny phoenix....mom's surprise party was awesome. she looked beautiful and was struck speechless. It was the best night!
there was a Mexican buffet that looked and smelled divine....cheesy gooey yummies and were steaming hot and mouth watering...was delighted to be too busy to think on it too much. mom's dear friend, millie, was there looking smart in a pink spring suit....96 years old, foxy and sharp as a tack! made mom look like a teenager :) she was precious..
haven't heard from pen so I hope that means she and Jule jumped off the wagon and are still rolling around in some grape! I am ready to cut loose with the wine and relax by the fire!

happy birthday, penny.....
good morning, greenies everywhere....wanted to give a big shout out to the pretty penny baker today....happy happy :) penny is busy being a shopkeeper so I can be in Phoenix for mom's big surprise tonight....going to be so fun.
phoenix feels like summer which is so odd....crazy warm and people everywhere....I ate at true food and enjoyed some yummy farro and roared chicken with beets and brussel sprouts....delish! I did miss my frozen yogurt tho....pains me to think I can't have any this weekend but we can soon :) only three more days :)
and I am counting down...don't know about you, greenies. what do you have cooking, cath? feeling good? I hope so!!!

rainy friday.....
happy friday, fellow greenies,
rainy and chilly as I sit down to my brekkie of rice cakes and tea :) pups by the fire and we are all comfy cozy. leaving for airport soon so may not be blogging til I touch down in sunny phoenix....am going straight to the movies :) I miss a good theatre.
the count down is on for all of us....and I am eager for my green jasmine tea :)
be good today. focus on where you want to be health wise in a few months....keep the picture of your hot sexy self in your head every time you see a sweet treat you want.....
we are oaks but we will look like willows :)

what used to be known as thirsty thursday....
even after three weeks I still feel like heading to papa's on Thursday nights for half priced bottles of wine.....what used to be known as a cozy lazy night with a delish glass of grape by papa's fire has since become a night with detox tea or hot water w lemon by the home fires :)
not that I mind hot water w lemon....been a favorite for years and it is a wonderful digestivo :) but like pavlav's dog my mind goes to grape even at five am on thursday morning :)
I think you may be thinking grape too today, tracy....don't overdo....may give you and the lovely and very charming monica headaches...those I don't miss!
I so recommend my breakfast of two rice cakes with almond butter sprinkled with sunflower seeds and flax....it is so yummy and will keep you filled up all morning long. I tend to get hungry around 130....hours after eating. good protein I guess.
can't sleep...tile visions and dreams of drywall have woken me up...those and the serious rain threat for today on my big and very exposed unfinished roof :)
heard town rumor yesterday root beer stand may be turning into condos....my heart bout stopped!!!!! I moved closer so we could just lean out the window to order our summer flurries....I shudder to think it would not be so!!!! on a brighter note, another rumor has it opening end of march....I see flurries in our summer future and in tomorrow's forecast :) hope springs eternal for the edible ones :)
enjoy sunny Phoenix, tracy....kisses to Monica and family...best of luck to will on the ice....sounds like he is taking his new team straight to victory at state!!!! Yay!!!

hump day....
love wednesdays....am over the tuesday blues (monday is a day off so I like mondays) and am excited about weekend plans. am particularly excited about this wednesday as it is our last wednesday on the cleanse :) whew.....love these final days of being green :)

goodbye muffin tops hello sexy keesters....
you are absolutely hilarious, cath! had me cracking up first thing this am and I needed it too! Tracy is so right....you do not have big keester! I blame all muffin tops...cause we all have them...on jeans! some of those cuts just heave up all your extra skin and what-not and force it to roll over the waist band! no where else for it to go!!!
you may just have more self control then the rest of us, cath, so don't sell yourself short. rice crispies and brownies are not compared to that cheesy bubbling chicken mumbo jumbo.....I could taste that all the way up here! it is hard to imagine eating all the things we are skipping...it is no wonder we battle what we are battling....they are so tasty and so terrible for us. I am astounded by what I normally put in this pie hole and don't even give it much thought at all.....but that has changed.....there is a new sheriff in town....not the one from AZ :) mercy, what a mess he is in poor soul.
we are strong girls with small keesters, greenies. be strong today!!!!

ps.....after five sunny warm days they finally started on the roof yesterday and what white wonders did I awake to?????? does only thie desert rat read the weather reports.....wtf????? snow as far as my bad eyes could see!!!! I probably have a new house full of it....but life is more than bad roofing starts and no sugar, dairy, caffeine, bread....I really wonder if they know just how on the edge I am mood wise....I could rip heads off every third day of this cleanse....I am WAY more moody than last year.....this I do NOT like....but life is good and I am deep breathing and filling the small grumpy places up with gratitude. Most especially for my green peeps!
Penny and Jule are still 100% on cleanse. Jennifer is 100% and her Jamie is 50%.
I am not an oak, cath...I am hanging on by a thread trying to do all of these things plus plan spring break, mom's 80th, graduation, a Europe trip for my graduate and fret about how we are going to pay for it all and two schools and a meal or two....lol. I am telling you it is a thread llike grasp I have on things :) perhaps my evil moods are the result of too much on my pie plate :)
I repeat....life is so good and I may not be an oak but I am blessed :)
